Thailand honeymoon tours

Most honeymoon itineraries in Thailand try to include everything and end up feeling like a tour. These are built the other way: two or three bases, mornings with nothing in them, and one boat that is only yours.

The short answer

Thailand honeymoon tours from Travel Thailand Tour are built on two or three bases rather than five, so most of the trip is not spent moving. Typical packages run 9 to 14 days from $2,240 per person and include private transfers, sea-view rooms and a private sunset boat.

The Classic Thailand Journey

For couples who want to see the country, not just a beach

Choosing the coast

The month decides, not the photographs

November to April — the Andaman coast. Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Koh Lanta. Clear water, calm crossings, best beaches in the country.

January to August — the Gulf. Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao. Calmer, warmer, fewer day-trippers, and the only sensible choice if you are travelling in the northern summer.

Anyone who books you a Phuket honeymoon in September is selling you rain and cancelled boat trips. We will tell you which coast is working for your dates before we talk about hotels.

What actually makes it feel like a honeymoon

Not rose petals. It is the absence of logistics: no queue at the airport, no negotiating a transfer, no group waiting in the lobby at 07:30. A suite with a view, one private boat, one dinner that was arranged rather than chosen on the night, and mornings with nothing in them.

When should we book?

Six months ahead for December–February, three months otherwise. The good sea-view suites go first.

Do you arrange the legal paperwork?

We arrange the ceremony, venue and logistics, and we work with a licensed celebrant. Legal registration is handled by a lawyer — we introduce you, we do not pretend to be one.

Can we add a second honeymoon stop?

Yes — Singapore or Vietnam are both easy add-ons from Bangkok, and we can book the connecting flights.

Is a honeymoon itinerary suitable for an anniversary?

Identical product, same price. About a third of the couples on these routes are not newly married.

The two-coast problem

Almost every honeymoon itinerary we are asked to fix has the same flaw: five bases in twelve days. Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi, Samui and Bangkok sounds like a tour of Thailand and is actually a tour of Thai airports. Two or three bases, with at least four nights in the last one, is what people describe as the good version afterwards.

Pick a coast, not both. The Andaman (Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta) is dry November to April and has the scenery. The Gulf (Samui, Phangan, Tao) is dry January to August and has the quieter beaches. Trying to do both in one trip means at least one internal flight and usually one wet week.

What actually makes it feel like a honeymoon

Not rose petals. The things guests mention in reviews are: a room upgrade that was arranged before arrival rather than negotiated at the desk, a private boat rather than a shared one, one dinner that is genuinely a surprise, and a day with nothing scheduled. We build one of each into every honeymoon route.

Budget

Honeymoon packages run from $2,240 to $3,400 per person for 9 to 14 days, depending mostly on hotel grade. A sea-view suite in February costs more than the same room in September by a factor of two, which is worth knowing before you fix your dates.

Tell us the date.

We will tell you which coast is right for that month before we discuss hotels.
