The short answer

Booking terms in brief: a 20% deposit confirms a trip, the balance is due 30 days before arrival, and travel insurance is compulsory. If we have to change an itinerary we cover the difference; if you cancel, the refund depends on how far out you are.

The essentials

What you are agreeing to

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we receive the deposit — normally 20% of the tour price — and issue a written confirmation. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. For bookings made inside 30 days, the full amount is due at confirmation.

Prices

Prices are per person, in US dollars, based on two sharing a room, and include what the itinerary lists. They exclude international flights, visas, insurance, meals not listed and personal spending. A single traveller pays a supplement because the vehicle and guide cost the same.

What we are responsible for

Operating the itinerary with reasonable skill and care, using licensed guides and insured vehicles, and being reachable 24/7 while you are in the country. If a component fails through our fault, we fix it or refund that component.

What we are not responsible for

Events outside our control: weather, road closures, airline schedule changes, civil disruption, and anything you choose to do independently of the itinerary. We will help you rearrange, but we cannot refund services that were delivered.

Travel insurance

Compulsory for every guest. It must cover medical treatment, repatriation and cancellation. We ask for the policy number before departure. If you arrive without it we may decline to operate activities with a risk profile — boat days, trekking, Muay Thai training.

Conduct and safety

Guides may change or stop an activity if it is unsafe, and their decision is final. Guests who are intoxicated, abusive to staff or animals, or who put others at risk may be removed from a tour without refund.

Changes by us

Itineraries sometimes change for weather, road conditions or supplier failure. Where a change is significant, we offer an equivalent alternative or a refund of the affected part. Where it is minor — a reordered day, a different hotel of the same standard — we proceed and tell you why.

Disputes

If something goes wrong

Tell your guide or the duty manager immediately — most problems are solvable on the day and are much harder to resolve a month later. If that does not settle it, email us within 28 days of your return with the details, and we will respond within 14 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and disputes fall to the courts of Bangkok. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your own country.

Can I pay by card?

Yes — Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. Bank transfer is available for larger bookings. Card payments may carry a 2.5% processing fee, shown before you pay.

Do you require a minimum group size?

Not for private tours. Small-group departures need 4 travellers to run; if that is not met we offer a private upgrade or a full refund.

Are children charged the same?

Under 4 usually free in the parents' room; 4–11 about 60% of the adult rate. Aged 12 and over, adult rates apply.

Anything unclear?

Ask before you book. A question now is cheaper than a dispute later.
